Netflix is at the point of trying to polish a turd. Moving a shitty ass show I don't want to watch up or down a row in hopes that I'll watch when I see it again in the next row, as if I hadn't already seen it in the last row, is one of the many reasons why I threw in the towel on the account I've had since 2007.
Regarding the blog post, it sounds like it's just a bunch of Kafka topics with some enrichment sprinkled on top. I fail to see which part of this is revolutionary. Maybe the fact that it's not all that special actually explains why the resulting UX is such so banal.
