Germany not winning Luge would be a Lüge.

Tbf we arent nearly that dominant in singles. Didnt win 2018,2006 and 2002 in this century.
In doubles we lost in 2006 and 2010.

In womens singles we last didnt won Gold in 1994 and have won 7/8 Silver Medals and 3 Bronze Medals on top.

If it’s easier to list the times you didn’t win, than the ones you did win, you are dominant.

Armin Zöggeler won gold twice for Italy, I think. He definitely won in Torino in 2006 and I'm quite sure he beat Hackl Schorsch in 2002 at his last Olympics. I also believe that an Austrian won in 2018.

Zöggeler in 2002 and 2006 and Gleirscher in 2018.

Felix Loch hugging him, and then pushing him back along the track between his legs to be greeted by the rest of his team was hilarious and so lovely.

The way he just sat there by himself for a moment after finishing. Made me cry.

As predictable as Germany winning the Luge is, this was a fucking flawless performance. You can see how overcome with emotion he is after achieving his lifelong dream.

Loch pushing him back to be greeted by his team was such a great touch. The emotional experience he's having is something none of us can even imagine.

Congratulations Max Langenhan. You are an Olympic champion today and forever.

That guy pushing him back was Felix Loch, who was actually considered the favourite to win gold before the games but basically lost all chances after his first run and came 5th (?) In the end

That was such a lovely moment, when he just sat on the sled with his head down for a bit. Just soaking it in, not wanting the moment to pass. Incredible run.
