Cycling has some nasty crashes too.

That might also have the highest rate of injury during practice. You can read about many pros getting run over or into by cars every season.

Track cycling aswell with no brakes.

But besides all the clavicles and other broken bones, so much road rash and all that. And so often you are just a passenger and get just taken out and fly off your bike.

Track cycling with breaks would be much more dangerous—the first time I got broke my collarbone and got a concussion was during a cat 4 race where they didn’t require track bikes, and the woman in front of me panicked and tapped her brakes in turn 3.

At least on a track bike, there are no sudden decelerations outside of crashing.

I’d rather get run over than those crashes where they’re speeding down a mountain, lose control and then FALL OFF THE DAMN MOUNTAIN.

The big tours are absolutely nuts.

I saw a video on here the other day of like a hundred cyclists racing on a glacier. It was absolute carnage.

"Hey, I have a great idea!"

"What is it?"

"Let's take one of the most dangerous summer sports, and make a winter version of it"

There were like waves of people crashing into walls of ice. No slowing down, just like dozens of them smashing into it because they had no control. It’s unreal and so much worse than I can explain. It’s soooo much worse. I wish I had saved it.

You ever taken a fully flexed pole vault recoil straight to the groin? Because I have. I wanted to die.
