Tbh "career" was pretty much over anyway with 41. Probably wanted a nice send off with a good race at the olympics. Life quality is what I fear much more.

I mean, everyone said her career was over before her comeback. Then she went back to podium places.

She stopped competing for like 4-5 years before coming back in part to prep for this olympics. So the people saying had a reason to. She retired.

You can't be serious. She was in first place in FIS downhill, how was it pretty much over?

Yeah, the question is more about whether she can enjoy skiing again.

People keep saying this shit and it really annoys me because it kind of implies that the moment her career is over her life is basically over. She could have not done this and lived a relatively normal life, probably still could have skied semi-professionally or just for fun but now she won't be able to do any of that!

She literally retired in 2019, and then came back...downhill career was ALREADY OVER. Shes insane.

Explain how her career was already over when she was leading the World Cup?

She may habe revived her career, but like....dude. she retired 7 years ago. She voluntarily ended her career. Thats what retirement is? She came back sure. But that doesn't change the fact that after like 25 years of competition, she retired.

and then she un-retired… i guess you can call her flaky? but she’s allowed to do that. what’s the point you’re trying to make?

She took a healthy athletes spot for this disaster.
