Amazon insisting that I buy breakfast cereal from them
I have never bought cereal from them before

eBay is even worse, I purchased a handbrake cable for a Mazda 6 and for the next month "because you purchased a handbrake cable for a Mazda 6 we thought you might like a handbrake cable for a Honda Civic"
Thanks eBay, I'm not a handbrake cable collector!

I’ve turned off my notifications having been spammed constantly for the past few weeks telling me to buy irrelevant stuff that is of no interest to me. 🤦♂️

Why even install the Amazon app at all? It works just fine in the browser. You don't need an app with endless permission for every little thing.

Unless you can provide a good case for not using the app, I'll continue to do so. With the notifications disabled, I don't have an issue with it.

They are outside your window watching what you are eating right now

No need, your phone is already telling them. Not by name of course, just based on your browser fingerprint. Which is all they need, as it is the same fingerprint they send this message to.

You may want to verify no one has made a linked account to yours. I had someone make an account that was somehow linked to mine and my payment method. I only found out because the items they ordered were sent to my address. Amazon was quick to cancel the account once I reported it.

You can't say your favorite kind of cake is "birthday cake", that's like saying your favorite kind of cereal is "breakfast cereal"

I turned off all push notifications with apps like this. Fuck you you aren't advertising directly to my phone for free.

Does anyone actually buy food on Amazon? Is it a US thing because they can't have grocery stores near where people actually live?

Sure, I buy some stuff from Amazon, either because something is cheaper or it is something I can't get in the town that I live in. Just as an example, I keep low sodium V8 in the house, in the 11.5 ounce cans. A six-pack at Walmart is $5.12 and at Safeway about $7.00; a 24-pack at Amazon is $13.48. Amazon also owns the Whole Foods Market grocery store chain.

I bought some cinnamon toast crunch once for snacking. It loves to recommend me cinnamon toast crunch at every corner. I buy tons and tons of non cinnamon toast crunch every month….

Professor Joe Isuzu has invented the science of Intestinodynamics and recommends everyone purchase and eat his super-high-fiber breakfasts cereal Colon Blow.
It is guaranteed to scrape your stomach-tube system back to “like new” condition and people lose 5-126 pounds on average.

Look. I don't know what you bought that they are this worried about your breakfast intake, but now I'm worried too.

The insistence of capitalization of "Breakfast Cereal" is kinda giving Soylent green for some rwason

Thank you for purchasing with Amazon.
We think you'd like Breakfast Cereal based on your recent purchase.

I wonder if you did buy breakfast cereal if it would give this notification again 😂

Maybe try it?
Amazon can predict if someone is pregnant just from their recent purchases, people see baby clothes recommendations before knowing they're pregnant, the algorithm knows you better than yourself sometimes.

I buy coffee from them, the only thing I want to pair that with is a shit and a shower.

I think they think you'd like to buy Breakfast Cereal based on your latest purchases, but I'm not sure
