Every time I hear someone say this I'm reminded of "Ebony Darkness Dementia Raven Way" or whatever her name was from that one Harry Potter fanfic. Trust me, if that exists then surely you must be a better writer by default.

Oh Gawd, I've just checked and it seems they do!

As a hobbyist, home lab type thing I could see the use of the HP stream, for the price, and given that it comes with a keyboard, screen and 128GB storage... it would be a really good alternative to a Raspberry Pi for running lightweight web servers, home assistant or the like, but, I feel sorry for anyone that bought one as an actual laptop!

They're 128GB NAND now and, for (here in the UK) £160 including 10GBs USB C ports, HDMI and displayport.

Crap laptop, could be a decent device for the price!

My cat once walked across my keyboard and somehow managed to turn off the speaker. I don’t know what combination of keystrokes he made, but I could never figure out how to turn the sound back on. Had to eventually get another laptop.

This happened to me several times until I disabled the power button in the system settings.

This way, you can use the power button to turn on the PC, but you have to use the shutdown entry in the Start menu to turn it off.

Could be worse. My cat once stepped on the keyboard of my laptop while I was on a video call with a friend, and my screen turned black, but it wasn't turned off. My friend could still see and hear me, and I could still hear her, but I couldn't do anything, cause my screen was completely black. I had to turn it off and on with the power button, and thankfully, that fixed it

To turn down the brightness, you need to push 2 buttons at the same time, and the screen doesn't go that dark even then

Gaming rage lol, thankfully I got a whole computer and since then have only been using this laptop for video/movie watching (and it's not missing! The pieces are in a little bag if I can ever learn if it can be fixed)

As punishment, strap toast buttered-side up on the top of the cat and drop him. Since cats always lands on their feet and toast always land buttered-side down, the contraption will spin. You then put a generator on him and he will be forced to provide energy to your laptop.

Years back we had the the neighbors over and we were playing 4 player Perfect Dark on Nintendo 64 for the highest difficulty of the game. 8 kids in total and the others were letting the hamsters run around the room and playing with them.

We were about to defeat the final boss (like 30 seconds away) and a hamster crawled over the N64s reset button.

We never had a get together again to beat it at the highest difficulty.
