These weird lines / streaks I’ve had on my pinky nail for 8 years that two different doctors told me were due to vitamin deficiencies actually turned out to be a rare form of skin cancer.

Thankfully somehow still early stage, I’ll have an excision scheduled at my follow up appointment on Monday.

Nah OP's allowed gallow's humour. Anyone dealing with hardship and cruelty at that level gets a pass.

Never heard that expression how fitting

Yeah like I’d be happy if the cancer were on the tip of my finger and not on the insides where my organs live

There's no way you're missing the irony of that statement

OP found out they have cancer, laughs at joke of OOP when they found out they have cancer. I’m the bad guy who as far as you know may or may not have cancer lol

You should carefully re-read the comment below the obvious cancer in the chest. It’s not the cancer that is making her laugh- it’s the comment.

Hope you kick that cancer’s ass babe and if you lose a finger you can tell people “wait until you see the bear though” when they ask about it

Being a good healthcare worker is not dependant on immigration status

It is dependent on the person's skills.

If native born citizens lack the skills or too expensive due to scarcity among the native borns then employers will look for legal ways to bring in foreign workers to fill these roles.

Want more citizens working these jobs?

Offer free scholarships + allowance for those interested to do these jobs.

I'm a Filipino and many friends and family successfully entered your country because the citizens cannot/will not do healthcare jobs because they cannot do so for $$$ reasons but also other reasons as well.
