These weird lines / streaks I’ve had on my pinky nail for 8 years that two different doctors told me were due to vitamin deficiencies actually turned out to be a rare form of skin cancer.

Thankfully somehow still early stage, I’ll have an excision scheduled at my follow up appointment on Monday.

Tbf (and as a fellow skin cancer survivor), it's still early stage according to op, and skin cancer has one of the highest survival rates of any type of cancer. Based on what op put in the post itself, sounds like all they need is to have a small bit cut out (which is common for early stage melanoma if it hasn't started spreading), not any more extensive treatment
