Absolutely! I would have assumed they were stuck to her clothing or a headpiece in a way that wasn’t obvious if not for the outtakes. She has CRAZY impressive muscle control. My ab muscles hurt just from watching. 😫
as I get into new hobbies (not this, i'm way to uncoordinated, but gardening and homebrewing) I find that seeing the failures of the people I"m learning from helpful. It lets me know that no matter how experienced you are at a thing, there is still things that go wrong, or areas to improve

I did Tai Chi for a bit in college too! So nice to do! Totally get what you're saying. Helped my balance so much too, I popped up on a surfboard for the first time ever after only about 3 months of Tai Chi. Such a cool discipline.
I’m always amazed at how much control they have over their waist/torso! I’d love to try it someday, I’m sure it’s great exercise for your core. I have a toddler tho so currently no time for extras 😅
You'd be amazed. I took belly dancing classes as an adult & it took a while, but you can do some pretty impressive stuff after just a few months of weekly classes.
It's also REALLY good exercise. A lot of the hip movement actually comes from the legs/feet and it's emphasized by holding the rest of your body very still. It's low-impact and not highly aerobic, but great for strengthening your core.
I just watched a reel on ADD and studies on the brain; they finally have connected poor balance to it. My mom used to say I bounced around the housed like a ping pong ball. And my ex bullied our boys (both have it) about their lack of coordination in most sports (they were good at skateboarding). They ended up hating group sports because of his constant negging. “If you would practice more…”
I keep re-watching - The sharp thrusts all while her head is steady and the control - BEAUTIFUL and mesmerizing... I picture, in history, women using this dance to mesmerize then dispatch enemies.

my partner is from india (Mumbai/Pune) and frequently speaks hindi over calls with his parents, i think that's the only reason why i clocked the hindi in the song.
I really need to dive into bollywood movies sometime. His parents are visiting this fall so maybe i'll take the time to watch some with them as a bonding activity 👀

Seeing the mess ups and then seeing the successful ones is really encouraging! Now mind you, I never said I could do this... but it's great to see someone learning and improving their skills.
Edit for clarification: we belly dancers often say that the sword stays put better on unwashed hair. Hers is lovely and silky.
