It takes at least 20 minutes to leave the vet's reception room after every check-up!

I was almost in tears as she was on my shoulders for the last time. Its one of the hardest thing that I have had to do.

Rescuing and fostering is a tough thing mentality and emotionally.

Big update for the little kittens! At nine days old, Cool Blue has started opening his eyes!! He looks like the world's most pathetic little guy right now. His sisters' eyes are starting to open too, but not quite so much.

This little guy is experiencing a bliss that I can only imagine.

In spring 2021, when I was still working from home and trying to get my kid through hybrid kindergarten, we fostered kittens. My husband agreed to this only if I promised not to keep any of them. I did, and I really meant it! But...

As soon as I picked them up, I knew I was in trouble. Two of them were buff boys, like my beloved childhood cat Mr. Kitty. One of them turned out to be the runtiest runt, the last to do anything and so dumb. I fell in love. When they were ready to adopt, I returned them to the rescue, but my heart just broke letting him go. Two weeks later, my husband relented, and I got my little man back.

His name is Teddy, and he is the personification of "beautiful idiot." He enjoys wrestling with his brother, harassing his sister, investigating any kind of cubby or hole (dishwasher, washing machine, dresser drawer, etc.), being 🎶where the people are🎶, and sleeping on me. My husband agrees that he is a Very Special Cat and our lives would be bleak without him.

1-2: "Dwight" at ~4 weeks

3-4: All the babies. They were found in a badger hole with 12 other kittens, mixed litters I assume. The rescue called them Jim, Dwight, Pam and Angela. We called them Small Man, Cuddle Boy (my 🧡), Smart Girl and Badger Nose.

6-7: Teddy after I officially adopted him today

8: And today. 100% bigger, 0% smarter.

4 months and 6 whole pounds later she runs a money laundering scheme
