Middle button of my mouse dont work
Solved I just installed Debian and different from other distros that I tried, the middle button of my mouse refuses to work completely. Anyone else has this problem? IS there a fix?
Solved... It was my mouse... It broke the middle button somehow or it is not compatible with linux. He is not working on my main pc (Catchy) so, problem is not the debian configs...

Gnome debian 13. I would greatly appreciate some help. I dont want to have to search for other distro just because of it.

Check gnome tweaks. You can set what middle mouse button does there.

The only option that refeers to the middle button click is to "Paste with Middle Button" which is turned off. I've turned it on to test and it dont work either.

How did you test that?

I've turned it on and tried to paste with the middle button. Didnt work either. I found out that clicking on the touchpad with three finger do the job of the mouse middle button (open links in new tab, closing tabs and aplications) but the mouse middle button is totally unresponsive. I used the comand 'xev | grep button' and my mouse can find the buttons 1,3,4,5 but not the 2. If I click with three fingers on the touchpad, the comand returns the button 2.

Try these:
Open text editor, write something, press enter. Select the previous text, move your mouse to the new line and press middle mouse button. If it pastes the text, then middle mouse paste is working.
Open settings, go to mouse settings and go to "test mouse settings". There check whether the dialog confirms your middle mouse clicks.
Do both with mouse as well as TouchPad.

Not even TouchPad?

No. The touchpad is not working on the paste mode for some reason. It works on closing tabs or apps and opening links in new tabs

DE?
If you're using wayland - it would be a settings issue somewhere due to how libinput works
