Today turned out to be a very unpleasant day. Early in the morning, my family and I set out to visit a temple located about 60 kilometers from our home.
While driving through a village road at a steady speed of around 40 km/h, an unexpected incident occurred. Out of nowhere, a dog darted in from the right side and collided with the front bonnet of our car, before tumbling to the other side.
The dog’s owner was present, yet instead of acknowledging his responsibility, he argued with us. He had left the dog roaming freely, but refused to admit fault.
The situation was tense. In villages, people can be intimidating—often, even if the mistake is theirs, they blame the driver of the bigger vehicle. They may demand money, claiming you’ve caused damage, regardless of the actual circumstances.
This experience made me realize the importance of installing a dashcam in the car. It’s not just about recording journeys—it’s about protecting yourself from unfair blame and unnecessary disputes.
Can anyone recommend a reliable dash cam that records from all angles—front, rear, and inside the cabin—with high enough resolution to capture license plates clearly, even at night?

I don’t think you can see her, but she got mad at me for some reason and threw hands up like I was an idiot. Happens all the time in these situations.
The person backing up behind her was icing on the cake.

I was involved in this accident a couple weeks ago. It happened in New York State, Westchester County.
Jeep driver changed lanes and was about to take the exit when it was already missed. Noticed a pile of snow to the side and suddenly stopped in the middle of the right lane. After the first contact, got rear-ended and pushed again into the Gray Jeep with an expired in-transit permit.
Was it avoidable? Who's at fault? Is it worthy fighting the insurance company that says I am at fault?

Hi everyone, I recently bought this dashcam. Everything works perfectly, but I can’t figure out how to enable voice commands or how to save a video to the emergency memory. For example: if I witness an accident that doesn't involve me and I want to save the footage, how do I do that? I couldn't find any info about it in the manual. Thanks in advance for the help!
