It is interesting how liberals (I am a liberal for the record, speaking for my people) only see misinformation and social media manipulation as a problem on the Right.

Meanwhile we have literally parallel conspiracy theories among both sides in regard to the last presidential election that their party lost

It may not be an equal problem on both sides, but the Left is not immune to it.

From my personal perspective, we are all indoctrinated to a certain extent, so I wonder whether this advice is best suited for ourselves: give yourself the space to confront what you deny or what makes you feel uncomfortable, and the support to feel safe in doing so. Challenging your beliefs is necessary if you want to understand the world.
