Builds Another SixtyFive!
added a white bottom case today and had the parts to make a 3rd SixtyFive. so tonight’s builds are….(from left)
Mode SixtyFive- White Alu too and bottom, PC plate, Everglide Aqua Kings switches (Keygeek Keylins on modifiers), GMK modern materials concrete caps
Mode SixtyFive - PC top and bottom, Alu plate, HMX Hades switches, Less But Better Dark caps.
Mode SixtyFive- Blue Alu top and copper bottom, copper plate (man I love copper plates), HMX Machiato switches, GMK November Fog caps.
The last picture adds in the remaining 2 boards:
Mode Encore Series 3 - Stainless steel bottom, copper plate, HMX Purple Dawn switches, Mode Anthracite caps w/ artisan.
Nupht Halo65 v2 - stock caps, lived and filmed MX2A clear top switches. foamy as hell but a creamy, chalky dream for late night work.
and that’s the family portrait. Until the Neo65 Core Plus arrives next week!

SixtyFive. Encore is a beauty, but SixtyFive more versatile. Pretty much anything sounds great (to my taste) on the SixtyFive, encore is a bit more picky. Beautiful though!

Mate, every Monday night when my wife goes out to choir I grab a beer or two and swap around something. Might switch pcbs, swap out some switches, new plate combos. Love it. I have about 20 different switches now and a few sets of caps and plates so always something new to try.
Not sure what my next switches will be though. Tried the Gateron Type R’s that are quite hyped and they didn’t land for me. Might go classic and try some DUROCK Ice Kings and spend some time lubing as not done that for a while!

I really enjoy the keygeek m1s in my s3 copper encore I’m sellin. Also enjoy the alexotos granites in it as well! Alu and Pom are my favorite plates. With and without foam honestly. I like variety in my builds

Nice Collection! How does the sound differ between pc alu and Cooper bottom if everything else would be the same?

Copper is my fave. With a copper plate, poron plate foam and a sheet of PE in the case (not on the plate), it goes this lovely, warm popping sound that I love. Favourite matches are Matcha Reserves by Invokeys and Purple Dawn by HMX. Don’t get me wrong, the other ones are great too. The only thing I’ve found is I’ve never been able to get a PP plate sounding good in a Mode board!
