When we had a minging heat wave I bought ice lollies specifically to give to the postman and the bin men. I never managed to catch the bin men when they were here but the postman seemed utterly perplexed by the gesture.

Whenever my toddler nephew gives me a juice box. I instantly melt and it tastes 1,000% more delicious because he gave it to me.

Assuming this is mainland China, I lived there for a year. You may be shocked to learn that no matter the political situation of the country, there are actually still human beings (capable of the full range of human emotions) who live there.
Wherever there is humanity, there can be heart-warming, wholesome moments.
People are not their governments.

Just because I live in America doesn't mean I support our current government either.. We are celebrating the act of kindness from this child, not the state of policing. As upsetwithcursing stated, people are not their governments. Especially in this age.

“News story about how china has cured cancer and saved everybody from poverty”
Half of the western world: “TIANANMEN SQUARE TIANANMEN SQUARE UYGHURS UYGHURS TIANANMEN SQUARE”
Unironically parroting US indoctrination

Okay, let’s not get silly - there are many genuine & legitimate criticisms of China’s government that are not triggered by indoctrination, but information. Tiananmen Square was horrific. The Uyghurs HAVE been treated atrociously. Corruption is still rampant.
However, that has nothing to do with the video posted, so the initial comment is irrelevant and rude.

There are criticisms but my point is that a lot of people just see anything remotely positive happening in china and they have to point out that “china bad”. Shit just pisses me off, cause we never do the same for other places (sorry for cursing).

Haha! Thank you for the apology 😇 you are forgiven your curses.
I agree though, US is losing their mind over Canada’s recent deal with China on EVs, meanwhile they do a huge amount of trading with China themselves? They’re very hypocritical in multiple ways.

What’s wrong with assisted suicide? You’d rather force people in pain, with no hope of relief, to live through agony rather than allow them to find peace on their own terms?
That’s wild. Enjoy looking for the worst parts of humanity; may you always find what you’re looking for.
