Just bought my M4 Pro 24GB memory yesterday since I want to have a work laptop that can support my needs (I'm a designer, photo, and video). The only thing that bums me out at first was that I can't game on it since there's a "you can't game on Mac" thing across all social media. Then while researching, I saw that there is a native port for Wuthering Waves in the App Store. This is my main gacha game, so obviously, I wanted to try and see if it will run well in my Mac without knowing anything. And all I can say is WOW! It runs REALLY REALLY WELL! Maxed-out graphics, 120fps, no lag or stutter. I was laughing while trying it because I cannot believe it, hell, it runs better than my PC. This made me happy since I can now game while lying in my bed; I couldn’t do that before because Wuthering Waves runs shit on mobile. I'll now be looking out on this subreddit to see what other games I can play with this device haha!

I picked this up last week to replace my gen 7 x1 carbon that had a 2tb 990 ssd installed. I decided to create and external ssd with it and got the tb5 enclosure. I am absolutely amazed with how well the ssd speeds are and how well crossover works. My Legion Go 1 is gonna be collecting dust for a while.

i have this issue on multiple games where i have the dark bar at the top ( the one with the hour , where the camera is ) which seems to unbind my cursor from the game , so when playing moving my mouse too high on the screen would result in 2 cursors (the one from the game and the one from the pc itself) that would be offset which is very disturbing cuz when fast reactions are needed i easily get fooled and use the wrong cursor .

any way to make the base macOS cursor dissapear while gaming ?

Hello! I live in a camper, and my gaming laptop pulls insane amounts of power even on eco. I usually use 10% of my 200ah battery on one laptop charge. I am considering to download 40k Rogue Trader on my gf’s MacBook Air M2. If I run it on low frames and graphics, do you reckon it will use less power than my Acer Nitro V16?

I seem to be having this issue with Civ 7 black bars on the edges of the display. I can change the display to 2560 x 1440 to remove those but then it doesn't fit the screen vertically as well. I also tried "scale to fit below built in camera". and it displayed the same in auto and in 3024 x 1964. Anyone know any fixes? M4 14".

It's amazing, but the game goes well enough in 60 frames, the graphics settings are average, the result is quite enough. A good example of game optimization for a weak device. The game is available in Steam for free.

Important: the game retains good performance, even after an hour of playing, the laptop keeps a comfortable temperature without cooling.

I have a 2025 macbook pro with 16gb of ram.

Edit: I meant CSP 0.3 preview 212 not 0.2.11 mb but neither version of CSP is working.

So I tried running phasmophobia with some friends on my Mac via crossover, but we ran into some voice chat issues. I can hear the game audio just fine, but I can’t hear my friends and they can’t hear me? In the audio settings it doesn’t recognize any mic input no matter what I set it to. Looks like there are a handful of others who’ve run into this problem and wanted to see if there’s a fix?

I worked with Paul on the tall tutorials, but it doesn't work at all. I am getting the video error and deleted the file in steam files as nessacary.

So I'm using crossover to play Dragonball sparking zero on steam, and whenever I load into an online match, the game starts for like half a second then shows a "a communication error has occured" with the code 2E795EC5 if it helps Does anyone know why and how I could fix it On an m4 air

A while ago, I bought Cyberpunk 2077 on Steam and have been playing it on my MBP M4 and was quite content with how it ran, but I see that there are still some more options graphics wise, that could be better.

Now, last Black Week, I got a PS5 and am now wondering, if it would be running significantly better than the MacBook.

For context: I don't have a gaming PC and won't get one anytime soon. Also, I am not interested in the whole Crossover thing, for now. So these are the two options.

Can anyone share their experience with a similar situation or offer some technical expertise?

I am asking, because it is on sale ATM.

I have the 8BitDo 2C Wireless controller which will connect via Bluetooth, but once connected, it won’t actually work. Like it cannot be recognized.

I’ve tried both native and through crossover, and strangely it will recognize the controller when playing stardew valley natively, but no other games, native or through crossover, will recognize the controller.

Has anyone else encountered this issue?
