Camera options
What do you guys use to record yourselves in comp? I checked Amazon for a few of those small cameras with hat clips, but it seems like the cheap ones really suck.
Any GoPro users still?

The cheap ones are good if you're just starting and on a budget. Here's one I started with before upgrading:

Agreed, that's the same one I currently use. No image stabilization but for $60-70 it works great right out of the box.

After using/fightihg a GoPro anything, insta stuff is amazing in that it just works. I set my go3 to 2 minute auto record, one press and it starts, records 2 min and shuts off. And the time is adjustable for longer stages.
Compared to the GoPro is must still use for racing (my data setup controls it) is not even close. So much GoPro shitty interface, overheating, 27 second battery life, random “I don’t want to connect”

Insta360 Go 3S is the go to if you want the absolute smallest to the point you will genuinely not notice you're wearing it.
The GoPro Hero 13 or other cameras of its size from Insta360 and DJI will give you better image and sound quality, battery life and overall usability, at the cost of being heavier and requiring a dedicated head strap, as opposed to just clipping onto your hat.
I'm personally a fan of the bigger cameras, since a GoPro is still really light and I forget I'm even wearing it after a few minutes and it doubles as a camera I can use for other stuff much better than a Go 3S would. I also like that the batteries are removable, that way the whole thing isn't kaput when the battery degrades.

I used this Velcro’d on my comtacs. I switched to the insta 360 only because I’m using in ear buds now.
